Following Archery AB and Archery Canada processes, we are now using an online format for new membership…
The Capital Region Archery Club offers a Public Drop-In Beginner Classes where anyone from age 8 can come to try archery for the first time. Public Drop-ins are also perfect for those individuals with shooting experience who are thinking about taking a regular class or are considering becoming a member. The lesson consists of roughly 30 minutes of instruction and safety followed by roughly an hour of supervised shooting.
Drop-in sessions take place on Saturdays, generally running from the first week of October to mid-April and on Mondays from July to August. The cost per person is $15 for instruction by qualified coaches and all equipment is included if you don't have your own. Due to the popularity of of our Public Drop-in sessions, from October to April, it is recommended that you drop by the range “on the day of” to pre-register, as the drop-in has a maximum size of 16-20 participants and frequently fills up. To ensure a place and to prevent interrupting the class, plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early as no late entries will be permitted.
Anyone from age 8 is welcome. A parent or guardian must be present in order for children younger than 14 to participate. Closed toe shoes and no baggy clothing is required.
Please consult our calendar for dates and times.
If you have special needs physically, please contact us a week prior to coming out so we can try to accommodate you appropriately.
